Winter property tax bills are mailed by December 1st and are due by February 14th. If you do not receive your tax bill, contact the Treasurer at 810-622-8178 Ext 3. Failure to receive your bill does not exempt the taxes from payment by the due date.
Summer Tax Bills are mailed by July 1st and are due by September 14th. If you do not receive your tax bill, contact the Treasurer at 810-622-8178 Ext. 3. Failure to receive your bill does not exempt the taxes from payment by the due date.
Payments can be submitted as follows:
By mail to 20 North Ridge Street, P.O. Box 631, Port Sanilac, Michigan 48469. If mailing your payment, please allow for 10 days for the mail in order for it to arrive in time without penalties.
By placing bill and payment in the secure drop box located in front of the Township Hall.
*A 3% fee will be applied if payment with debit/credit card.
Failure to receive a bill does not relieve a customer of any payment obligations or late charges.
A 10% late fee will be added to all accounts that are not received by the due date.
Water will be shut off for accounts with outstanding balances that have not made payment plans with the Township. To avoid service interruption, make sure the bill is paid in full on due date.
The entire balance including all fees associated with service must be paid before service will be restored.
